Choosing An Ice Maker
We do caution our customers when purchasing used ice makers. They are fairly simple, yet finicky machines and (like most refrigeration equipment) they are only as good as they are maintained. Harmful substances like rust, improper maintenance, and poor quality of water could all potentially destroy an ice maker.
That said, ice makers are usually sold because the owner is in need of a larger capacity machine. If this is the case, there shouldn’t be many issues with the unit.
We more often advise our customers to purchase a new unit. For this reason, we rarely have used ice makers for sale. We will occasionally find one in good enough condition to sell, but we always err on the side of caution. We want our customers to have the best of the best!
